Trucks you can trust: that is the brand promise of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Not only the company’s products make good on that promise, but especially the people who deliver top-grade performance every single day at Mercedes-Benz Service locations all around the globe. To demonstrate their skills, Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ 55 best Service consultants, maintenance engineers, diagnostic technicians as well as Parts and Accessories salespeople from eleven countries competed against each other in the “Global TechMasters Truck 2019” at the end of October. All of them had qualified for the event in national preliminary rounds. “For us, this competition is a core measure for elevating and improving the already high level of performance of our employees throughout all our locations even further,” said Alexander Willhardt, Head of Customer Service & Parts and Global Key Account Management at MB Trucks. For a whole day, contestants tackled maintenance work, theory questions, customer calls and troubleshooting – and there were also several team challenges to be mastered. In the end, the team from Poland (picture) was able to win the “Best Service Team” title as well as the title of the fastest ever recorded wheel change on the rear axle of a Mercedes-Benz Actros Artic Truck. For the “Best Performance in Job Profile”, Rafał Gościński (Poland) received an award in the category Parts and Accessories Sales person, Robert Cannone (Italy) in the category Service Advisor, Fernando Cruz in the category Diagnosis Technician and Adrian Ionuț Mușoaie in the category Maintenance Technician.
