The range of equipment features for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class continues to grow. A particularly luxurious variant of the MPV is set to arrive at dealerships shortly – the V-Class EXCLUSIVE. With an incomparably high level of exclusive equipment and appointments, it raises style, comfort and functionality of the V-Class to an even higher level and marks the pinnacle of the popular model series. Mercedes-Benz Vans thus underscores the redefinition of the MPV. The V-Class EXCLUSIVE boasts a compelling mix of exquisite trim in brushed aluminium look, air vents in silver chrome, a roof liner in DINAMICA, the new panoramic sliding sunroof, the new large centre console with integral refrigerated compartment and thermo-cupholders, climatised single seats in nappa leather for the driver, front and rear passengers, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, Burmester surround sound system and a host of other equipment. Its uniqueness is instantly recognisable with the “EXCLUSIVE” label on the front wings. It will be celebrating its world premiere at the start of March during the Geneva International Motor Show and is now available to order.
“With the V-Class EXCLUSIVE we are enriching our model range to include a design and equipment line that represents the pinnacle in our portfolio with its particular exclusivity and unrivalled comfort. Thus we can meet the requirements of discerning automotive customers who truly appreciate having lots of space”, says Volker Mornhinweg, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans.
Top-class comfort, style and design in the V-Class EXCLUSIVE
With its luxurious interior equipment and appointments, the V-Class EXCLUSIVE takes the high-class appeal of the Mercedes-Benz MPV to a new level. Exclusive trim in brushed aluminium look, air vents in silver chrome, the dashboard in leather look with finely crafted topstitching, leather-covered armrests in the door trim and comfort seats in black or silk beige nappa leather create a top-class atmosphere. Added to which is the roof liner in DYNAMIC, either in black or porcelain, as well as sports pedals in brushed aluminium.
The stylish feel-good atmosphere is also enhanced by the new panoramic sliding sunroof, which ensures the interior is flooded with an extraordinary amount of light. It consists of an electric glass sliding roof at the front and a fixed glass section at the rear. Measuring 1.90 by 1.12 metres it is the largest glass sunroof in the mid-size van segment. The panoramic sliding sunroof also features a two-section electric sunblind. If the vehicle is parked with the roof open, the sliding sunroof automatically switches to the tilted position if it starts to rain. The sliding sunroof and blind can be operated in the front and rear respectively using a switch in the roof.
As a further comfort enhancement, the large centre console has a padded armrest and an integral cooler compartment. It features several stowage compartments, two cupholders at the front, two LED-illuminated thermo-cupholders for passengers in the rear and a five-litre cooler box. USB connections, an SD card slot, a 230 volt and a 12 volt socket are provided for mobile phones, MP3 players, notebooks, etc. The experience of comfort is rounded off with electrically adjustable seats for the driver and front passenger with active seat ventilation, climatised single seats in the rear and the Burmester surround sound system with 16 high-performance loudspeakers including a bass reflex loudspeaker and front-to-rear voice amplification.
The V-Class EXCLUSIVE combines contemporary luxury with exemplary safety and sporty dynamism. The new design and equipment line comes with a sports suspension, 17-inch braking system and 19-inch light-alloy wheels. In addition to the ATTENTION ASSIST and the Crosswind Assist, it comes as standard with the Active Parking Assist with 360-degree camera on-board, which makes it easier to find a parking space and to park in parallel and end-on parking spaces.
In Germany the model is available as the V-Class EXCLUSIVE EDITION with additional equipment and appointments, such as the DISTRONIC PLUS adaptive cruise control, from EUR 74,911 (price in Germany incl. 19% VAT).
New optional extras and AMG Line available to order from February
The panoramic sliding sunroof and the large centre console with integral refrigerated compartment are also available as optional extras for the V-Class from February 2016. In addition, an iPad holder for the backrest of the front seats is available as another new convenience feature. At the same time, the new sporty AMG Line, which is available for the V-Class and the Marco Polo camper van, will be available to order at dealerships. The striking design features of the Mercedes-AMG performance and sports car brand include newly styled front and rear aprons, distinctive side sill panels and 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, as well as an additional spoiler lip. This AMG body styling accentuates the unique, progressive design of the V-Class even more emphatically, and immediately conveys sportiness and dynamism.
With the new design and equipment line V-Class EXCLUSIVE, the AMG Line for the V-Class and the new optional extras, Mercedes-Benz Vans is offering a host of further options this year to tailor the popular MPV to individual preferences and requirements. This will in turn make the V-Class a compelling proposition for other target groups.
