The motor racing season is coming to a close and the Christmas season is fast approaching. Mercedes-Benz has the perfect gift idea for Formula 1 and DTM fans to put under the tree.

As of now, motor racing fans can order the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 and DTM calendars for themselves or for their loved ones. Both calendars are 69 x 49 cm and can be ordered from the Mercedes-Benz online shop at:, price €29.90.

Each month features a photograph from the respective 2013 Formula 1 / DTM seasons, and once again, the calendars present a selection of the most vibrant, exciting and beautiful snapshots of the year, ranging from thrilling scraps and high-speed shots to pit crews at work, demonstrating the precise art of the pit-stop ballet with its total perfection. Fans had a say regarding which images found their way into the new 2014 DTM calendar, as six of the twelve motifs were selected in an online vote by users of the official Mercedes-Benz DTM facebook page at:

Those who are quick off the mark and qualify in the Ordering Top Ten can look forward to a special bonus: The first ten persons ordering the 2014 Formula 1 and the DTM calendars will each receive original signed copies by Mercedes-Benz drivers. Yes, that’s right! The calendars of the first ten purchasers of the 2014 DTM calendar will have been signed personally by all six Mercedes-Benz DTM drivers – Gary Paffett, Daniel Juncadella, Roberto Merhi, Christian Vietoris, Pascal Wehrlein and Robert Wickens. The first ten copies of the 2014 Formula 1 calendar will bear the original signatures of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Wolfgang Wilhelm began his career as a motor sports photographer near his hometown of Edenkoben at the 1970 German Grand Prix in Hockenheim. Aged just 17, Wilhelm sneaked into the race track without accreditation or ticket and shot his first Formula 1 photos. Since then, the search for the best camera location and the most creative motifs has dominated Wilhelm’s everyday life at race tracks around the world.

During his career, Wilhelm has studiously taken photographs for auto motor und sport for 37 years and has also worked for Mercedes-Benz over the past 22 years. His talent as a photographer has been recognised many times; Wilhelm has twice won the Image of the Year award in the DTM as well as the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy in 2011.
