Maximilian Buhk (GER) is the new champion of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2013. The 20-year-old who is a HTP Motorsport driver, won the final race at Nürburgring with a SLS AMG GT3 together with his team colleagues Bernd Schneider and Maximilian Götz (both GER). The two gullwing cars entered by Black Falcon finished eighth and 13th. Preci Spark retired after an accident.
The SLS AMG GT3 of HTP Motorsport with start number 84 started in the Pro Cup and entered the 1000 kilometres long race from the pole position. Due to the fast lap times he already achieved in the beginning, Maximilian Götz claimed a leading position among his nearly 50 competitors. The race gullwing car had the lead for almost the entire time of the six-hour race. One hour prior to the end of the race, the SLS AMG GT3 made the last pit stop and brake pads were changed. Afterwards, Maximilian Buhk managed to regain the lead after a commanding duel with the BMW car which had the lead at that time. After 178 laps, start number 84 crossed the finish line of the final race of the Blancpain Endurance Series first, with a lead of 18.298 seconds. In the Pro Cup team standings, the drivers of HTP Motorsport achieved a triple success: Maximilian Buhk comes first with 81 points, followed by Maximilian Götz and Bernd Schneider with 71 points each, on position two. In the team standings, HTP Motorsport claims overall rank five with 49 points.
Black Falcon started at Nürburgring with two SLS AMG GT3. Start number 19 with Hubert Haupt, Luca Ludwig (both GER) and Andreas Simonsen (SWE) started from the 11th grid position in the Pro Cup and crossed the finish line eighth. The second gullwing car with start number 18 and Klaas Hummel (NED), Steve Jans (LUX) as well as Adam Christodoulou (GB) started from grid position 12 in the Pro-Am Cup and ended the six-hour race on the 13th overall position and came third in the class. In the team standings of the Pro-Am Cup Black Falcon claims the fourth position with 56 points.
Start number 22 of Preci-Spark with the twins David and Godfrey Jones and son Morgan Jones (all GBR) started in the Pro-Am Cup from grid position 39. The British AMG Customer Team had to retire from the race after almost half of the distance of the race because of an accident.
