Outstanding driving dynamics are ensured by uncompromising lightweight construction and specific modifications to the suspension, brakes and aerodynamics. The testing program began on the Lausitz Eurospeedway in June 2010. Bernd Schneider and Thomas Jäger were brought on board as test drivers. As well as being tried out at the Lausitz Eurospeedway and the Sachsenring circuit, the SLS AMG GT3 was also being tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop) – under realistic racing conditions.

Concept Shooting Break
The centrepiece of the Mercedes-Benz presence in Beijing is the world premiere of the Concept Shooting Break – a vehicle which represents a further insight by Mercedes designers into the possible future development of the Coupé concept.

Wide and flat, with a long bonnet and a roof which continues through to the rear: the Concept Shooting Break features some astonishing proportions which at the same time are clearly reminiscent of another design icon – the CLS. The design of the front is completely new, but makes use of elements which are mindful of the SLS AMG super sports car: the radiator grille, with the large star and eye-catching, bionic slats, is not integrated into the bonnet but has been designed separately. Now, this insight by Mercedes designers into the possible future development of the coupé concept will become reality. In 2012, the CLS Shooting Brake will be launched to the market.
