Last week, drove a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing – the winning car of the 1952 Panamerica – and its indirect descendant, the new SLS AMG, on the route of the legendary Carrera Panamericana, the longest road in the world.
Hans Herrmann drove the classic 300 SL Gullwing. The current Gullwing (SLS AMG) were driven by journalists. The longest street in the world links the two American continents, from Tierra del Fuego in the south to Alaska in the north.
