Here Statements an impressions from the Mercedes-Drivers and vice-president Mercedes-Benz Motorsport after the race. The race report to the 150th victory can you find here.

Paul Di Resta (2009 AMG Mercedes C-Class), winner: “A great race for me – it’s fantastic to score my first win of the season in my home race and to achieve the 150th win for Mercedes-Benz in the DTM together with my team. Already yesterday’s qualifying with the pole position was perfect and today my C-Class was at its best. The safety car periods towards the end of the race made it exciting; however, I always controlled the field. Thank you to my team, this victory is a nice reward for everybody’s hard work.”

Gary Paffett (2009 Salzgitter AMG Mercedes C-Class), fourth: “I moved up from sixth on the grid to fourth at the chequered flag – which is not bad here as overtaking is almost impossible at Brands Hatch. Therefore I am still happy with my result, although a podium finish was possible. In the overall ranking I am now nine points behind Scheider, but with three races to go everything is possible.”

Bruno Spengler (2009 Mercedes-Benz Bank AMG C-Class), sixth: “We had a good strategy and I was second after my first pit stop. After being hit by Tomczyk I suffered from a puncture. I therefore pitted earlier than planned. I finished sixth instead of second, but I am happy that I didn’t retire despite the puncture.”

Ralf Schumacher (2009 Trilux AMG Mercedes C-Class), ninth: “A turbulent race and I made a few mistakes, too. At this short circuit it seems to be normal when drivers leave the track. Following the two safety car periods, the field was very close together which was certainly exciting for the spectators. Congratulations to my team mate Paul on his convincing win.”

Maro Engel (2008 GQ AMG Mercedes C-Class), 10th: “Following the first re-start Ralf tried an optimistic move and touched Markus Winkelhock. I had to avoid them and spun and that cost me one point.”

Jamie Green (2008 Junge Sterne AMG Mercedes C-Class), 12th: “After my first pit stop I resumed right behind Jarvis. As I was faster than him I tried to pass him; unfortunately I touched him and he spun. I am sorry for that. The drive-through penalty destroyed my race.”

Susie Stoddart (2008 TV-Spielfilm AMG Mercedes C-Class), 13th: “My performance was not good enough today and my result is not what I had hoped for. I am disappointed.”

Mathias Lauda (2008 stern AMG Mercedes C-Class), retired due to an accident: “After my second pit stop I had problems with my left front tyre which caused a short off the lap before the accident. Afterwards, at the fast Paddock Hill Bend I was not able to keep the car on track any longer.”

Norbert Haug, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Motorsport: “Super! Paul and his C-Class were a class of their own here, indeed. Without having been hit, Bruno Spengler wouldn’t have got a puncture but would have finished in second place, and Gary Paffett missed a possible third place due to a lengthy second pit stop. Thanks to our strategy and our speed we were in the position to achieve an all Mercedes podium – this has been prevented by the collision, puncture and pit stop, but anyway we naturally enjoy Paul’s convincing first place very much. 150 wins out of 317 races so far are an excellent balance of our DTM activities.”
