For those with a passion for older vehicles, Mercedes-Benz has recently brought out a new edition of the DVD series Information for Classics. The new edition is more comprehensive and includes all the technical information required for correct servicing of cars.
Already available are the editions for Mercedes-Benz Young Classics from the R/C 107 and R 129 SL series. Information for the 111, 116, 123, 124, 126, 201 and 202 series is in preparation.
In addition to containing maintenance and repair instructions, the new edition of Information for Classics now also features a complete spare part catalogue for the vehicle with a link function to the manufacturer’s original maintenance and repair instructions, which provide a step-by-step explanation of the correct procedures. The instructions can also be printed out as required. At the same time the spare parts required are automatically displayed. Users can then draw up a shopping list by adding parts to a goods basket before purchasing them at a Mercedes-Benz service centre. In this way, users can be sure that they will pick up the correct Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts with a manufacturer’s warranty.
As a further innovation, Information for Classics now also provides electric circuit diagrams for the vehicle, making any work on electrical assemblies both simpler and safer. In addition, each DVD includes the car’s complete owner’s manual – in other words, a comprehensive package featuring all key technical documentation for a particular model series.
Each DVD is available in German and English from Mercedes-Benz dealers or on the Internet at http://www.mercedes-benz-classic-collection.com at a price of 129.00 euros (incl. VAT, recommended retail price).
